For the remaining two or three of you who don't know this guy ...

I have a feeling I'm the last BOFH on earth to twig to this guy[1],
but on the off chance there are a couple of you further out of the
nerd-culture-scene loop than myself ...

[1] I've reached an age where I have more or less settled in with the
music library I have, adding to it infrequently with bands I
discover through my kids and the occasional Radio Paradise
discovery.

So, last Saturday, I went to the They Might Be Giants show in Detroit.
No, I'm not the last to hear *them*, I was rather an early adopter on
that one[2]. But the opening act was a guy named Jonathan Coulton.
Talk about your perfect marketing match between performer and
audience.

[2] And wore a 20-year-old show T-shirt just to prove my bona fides.
Holy crap, was I ever really that young?

A great sampling of some excellent stuff available at

http://www.jonathancoulton.com/primer/listen/

The title alone of the first track ought to sell you, and even if your
stone-hearted resistance fails to fall for the title, I think the
lyrics will get past whatever defenses you have.

You're welcome. Both of you.
