U.S. universities generally give "latin honors": "cum laude", "magna
cum laude", and "summa cum laude". Except MIT, which does not rank
its students.

My alma mater, not being a very Latin kind of place -- even the motto is
in English -- has "honors", "high honors", and "highest honors".
