If you're seriously looking for an "economical/low carbon
footprint/holier than thou/california grade smugness" type motorcycle
(in Australia), consider a Sachs MadAss 125 - a friend of mine has one
and he's averaging 2.7L/100km on it over the 4000 odd km he's done since
he bought it.

For me, motorcycles are about maximising the fun per dinosaur burnt
rather than minimising the total number of dinosaurs consumed...

I wonder if there's any learner approved diesel bikes?

In NSW, I'm pretty sure the diesel Royal Enfield is LAMS legal...
