On 2008-12-03, Maarten Wiltink (aka Bruce)
was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea:
My previous boss may have had many failings, including the expressed
surprise, but he let me buy the videocard with _his_ money, and by the
time I left there were four dualheads (it was that small a company),
plus an abortive experiment with a triplehead, with no complaints.
What is it that makes 2 monitors the ideal number?
Don't get me started on Tabzr and its treatment of multiple monitors.
When it doesn't display things in a useful location (a dialog
confirmation popping up on a screen over a metre away from where the
action was initiated, the eye was looking, and the cursor is currently
placed), our programmers "fix" it by hardcoding locations into their
programs in a never ending arms race of complexity, instead of letting
me replace the window manager with one that works and fix the problem
once and for all.
And when you point out to Tabzr developers, their stupid policy
choices and the lack of ability of changing that policy to suit the
varying needs of Tabzr users, they think you're a crazy perverted
deviant for wanting something that isn't The One True Way.
