For some reason, there is all sorts of encouraging news lately --
HD-DVD tanks ignominiously, OOXML is being publicly flayed, the EU
finally grew some balls and slapped M$ with a record fine, Vista sales
continue to languish and the public embarrassment over same grows
daily, Yahoo! (of which I am no fan) very publicly smears rotten egg
all over Monkey Boy's face, and a few others I'm not thinking of right
now. I'm sure it will pass, but at the moment I actually catch myself
feeling good once in a while about the general direction this industry
is headed.
