Mmm, an Oracle DBA pulls what, forty-something in the provinces and a bit
more in London? How much *were* they offering, exactly?
Anyway, I wouldn't bother looking for jobs in Cumbria as there aren't any.
Manchester isn't *that* far away, and has a reasonably thriving IT scene.
They still talk funny there so you should feel right at home.
