What prejudices? The Israeli state _is_ a rotten bunch, and the local
non-Moslem population _would_ prefer the Ottomans to it.

Israel's also a damned sight better than its neighbours; that should go
without saying. That doesn't make it in any sense _good_, just less
bad.
