As long as actual bigamy doesn't take place, the UK doesn't really give a
toss about poly relationships. This is an advantage and a disadvantage: it's
not forbidden, but not recognised in law either.

Countless men and women have engaged in sexual intercourse outside
marriage through the last 20 centuries. Very few have actually
simultaneously been married to multiple partners at least in
Christendom. Marriage is what makes bigamy, not sexual relations.
