Pubs become smoke free from Monday.
You can hear the sigh of relief from bar staff and three quarters of
their customers, all over the country. It will save water too, not
having to wash this jacket after every visit to the pub.

A bar without smoking is like a swimming pool without water.
Experience shows that once nightclubs in town become smoke-free,
all the interesting stuff starts happening in venues on the other
side of the city limit. So one can enjoy both the smoke and the 5x
cab fare.
Or, in Tim's case, airplane fare to Northern hemisphere -- but that
doesn't really change things down there.
