It can also be entertaining to see what sort of crap turns up if you offer
colocation but omit to set limits on power consumption or rackspace. Well,
when I say "rackspace", I mean the cheapest metal shelving IKEA do. And when
I say UPS or aircon, well, I didn't because there weren't either of those.

Most of the really silly stuff was from Apple: a CRT iMac where the CRT
couldn't be turned off, and a 3ft high Apple Unix server thing. ISTR there
was an old PowerBook, evidently from somebody who knew how lousy the utility
power was in that corner of London.

In comparison, my box was quite sane, although you couldn't really tell what
it was due to bits of cardboard covering the holes where bits had fallen off
or rusted through, and cable ties and gaffer tape holiding it all together.

Ah, memories...
