I'm sure I tried it at the 2006 Whisky Live[1], and decided that the
8yo was not particularly pleasant, the 12yo was extremely drinkable,
and the 15yo was back to verging on unpleasant (and overpriced).
What I got landed with was a bottle of the generic stuff. Having said
that, when I was last in Dublin, visiting the distillery was at least
something to do, not to mention about the only place I could get a
drink.
There's another such place, the identity of which should be obvious. I
recommend doing them both; I don't recommend doing them both on the same
day, since you'll see half the process twice.
