Don't victims in England & Wales have a right to make a
personal statement before the jury these days? I cannot recall if this^^^^^^
is either prior or post to the sentencing, let alone the judgement, or if
it only applies to 'violent crime', or possibly even just murder.
I suspect a lot of juries would rather it didn't happen in this case.
