Well, yes, that was the insightful thinking that they hoped the
Luftwaffe didn't have. They certainly used ridiculously OTT gothic
Victorian architecture when they camouflaged them:

I worked in the second heap, after it had reverted to being a girls
school. The cellars were still labelled with various WWII vintage signs
concerning which shelter this was, and how many people it could
accommodate.
