Pah. If you work in the newspaper industry (as I do), that's nothing
special. The paper must fall on the mat - that time of year more so than
any other.
Which really is a shame. I heard an urban legend about a (very) early
BBC TV news report which simply stated that there hadn't been any and
moved onto more entertaining fare. I like to think that actually
happened.
Come to think of it though, the local rag came close to the above during
the Christmas week this (err, last) year.
Minus the usual Wednesday job supplement and a dearth of planning
applications to the council that get written up as stories (for all the
new conservatories and patios where _you_ live) they were down to
something like twelve pages, most of which where photos of Christmas
past and guff about rugby.
