So I look at the inbound mail from there. It's to
$NAME@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx *ALL* of it is to
$NAME@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mail today from there is working
Just Fine, mail last week worked Just Fine; it's just mail for all of
yesterday that was hosed, with addresses matching the expression
/@foo\.com\.bar\.otherdomain\.org/, which is the SMTP equivalent of a
wrong number.
I call the contractor, and get "I just run this application and plug
in the numbers. The addressbook looks good to me." So I ask her to do
one of the result mailings again. She does, and *it* *fscking* *works*
this time.
I _KNOW_ that *I* didn't change anything here. Something changed,
somewhere. The notwork isn't going to be munging the envelope, and so
it has to be *her* end. I'm running tcpdump and waiting for her to
send another one.
This time I'll see the envelope data on the _wire_, damnit!
If your site is foo.com and the sender is at bar.otherdomain.org, I can
see a scenario why this might have happened. However, giving any hints
would be UI and therefore entirely off-topic.
That would have been too easy. She's at othercompany.com.

Segovia on the value of hard work:
I practice only five hours a day, no more. Work is necessary and a
pleasure. It is like those old paintings of Jacob's Ladder with angels
climbing up and down, rung by rung - although they have wings.
