Nowt wrong with that. My fairly standard gin recipe is to take a pint glass,
cut a lemon into eight and dump it into the glass, then fill the glass with
ice. Now pour in Bombay Sapphire up to the top of the lemons, and tonic to
the top of the glass.

Perfect for a hot summer afternoon[0], but more than a handful of these
tends to lead to much embarassment.


[0] Hence why I haven't made one since 2004.
