My answer depends on whether your goal is to be less annoying or to be
more annoying.

If your goal is to be more annoying, I recommend combining these two
techniques for maximal annoyance.

If your goal is to be less annoying, I recommend simply rot13ing the entire
message once it reaches a certain threshold. (In fact I believe I've
suggested before that we should rotate this entire newsgroup, by something
other than 13.)
