Unrecovery via M$ support

<rant>
I went to one of the M$ discussion groups in a last ditch effort to find
an answer to a problem. I said quite clearly up front that this issue
was not a virus. I am a malware expert and the only malware on this
system was Zvpebfbsg Jvaqbjf Fznyy Ohfvarff Freire 2003 (or the Jvaqbjf
Zr of servers as I like to call it). Anyway, a M$ SBS MVP (or Zbfg
Inyhryrff Crba) looked at the files I sent, one .txt and one .mdmp and
proceeds to tell me the following:

"I googled *fileaname deleted*.exe.mdmp and every result refers to a
virus. Not that I think it would be common for a legitimate file to have
two extensions anyway, but I also searched my SBS without finding a file
with that name. MS has a phone number for free support for virus and
security issues. I recommend calling it despite the fact that virus
scans don't appear to be finding anything. It's 1-866-PCSAFETY."

Sad when you have to tech support the tech support. For those lucky
enough to manage non-M$ boxes, .mdmp is the standard extension for the
dump files sent back to M$ when a program craps itself. And I didn't
even need Google to tell me that. With as many M$ programs crapping
themselves as there are one would think tech support would recognise
that extension. Oh, well, the cattle prod is due for a good charging
anyway. He's been getting lonely since I moved to a network with only
10 lusers and the boss let me cut their rights to almost zero. Now I
just have to get him to move to a real operating system...
