Hard to profit from disposable news content if you invest in traditional^^^^^ ^^^^^^^
staff such as editors, qualified journalists....
Remember in grade school when you'd copy/paraphrase reports out of the
encyclopedia? Reporters do the same thing now, except they copy from a
press release instead.
I believe you misspelled "facsimile copy." "Fax machine" journalism
became dominant years ago when TV "news readers"[1] realized all they
had to do was pick through received faxes until they found what they
were going to say anyway. (Hint: Check for news articles that appeared
on the web before the event they were covering took place.)
This may have been replaced by email journalism.
Someone said things are heading for the lowest common denominator. It
looks like a race from here, with no limit on how low they'll go.
[1] It's definitely not journalism if all you do is read the
teleprompter.
