Good thought, but if anybody found out it was a firearm, he'd be in even more trouble (not that he'd likely know that, or care). Transferring a firearm across state lines to anybody other than a Federal Firearms License holder (with very few exceptions) is a great way to get an extended vacation at the Graybar Hotel. Diverting a shipment would probably be frowned upon.
