Well, the _good_ news -- and it is good -- is that it's not a retinal
detachment.

It is, instead, a _vitreous_ detachment, which may in its own good time
pull the retina loose as well. I'm so thucking frilled.

Over 50% of people over age 50 have this, and I'm 59, so it's to be
expected.

No instructions about things to do or to avoid. Just keep on a=keepin'
on, and see him again in mid-January.
