I should hasten to add that that I don't sleep in that room and the
only furniture is my desk, buried somewhere underneath. It's a lot
easier to ssh into my desktop from a laptop outside than attempt to go
in and log in on the console.
A potential bedmate that peers in there and doesn't run away
screaming, but instead gingerly reaches round and grabs that strange
cable I couldn't identify and go "I've been looking for one of those
for *years* for my Sun 3/60" is a keeper.
I note that http://laager.firedrake.org/archive/20051002.html is
dangerously close to reality.
