Ye ghods, there are people out there who don't have a crate in the
basement filled with FireWire cables that came with various bits of
kit? I have no idea how I wound up with twice as many cables as I
need to connect everything up; I've only bought a few Extra Long or
Extra Short cables....

OK, I tell a lie, it's not in the basement at the moment.
