Hmm. I certainly have no problem with armed females. Being that I'm
generally not a physical threat to someone[1], the risk of me being
injured or killed because I threatened a person (specifically a female)
who happens to be armed is quite small.
Indeed, when I finally get around to finding a SWMBO and having BOFHlets
of my own (hopefully not for at least another 5-7 years -- I'm somewhat
of a young BOFH at 23 years of age), I would hope that SWMBO /would/ be
armed, so as to better protect herself and the BOFHlets from any
untoward circumstances.
When in a state that allows it (and I am permitted to do so in about
half the states in the US with the permits I possess), I can frequently
be found to be discreetly armed. I would hope that SWMBO would be
similarly equipped.
In fact, I find self-sufficient, armed, yet feminine women to be
considerably more desireable and attractive than their dependent,
unarmed counterparts. Maybe that's just me though...
[1] Though the military training I had certainly enables me to be quite
an effective threat if necessary, I do not initiate conflicts. Though I
can and will finish them.
