I always insist that nontrivial tasks are submitted to our ticketing
system rather than dictated over the phone. The requests are thus
enumerated and if it's billable, points assigned to a customer support
contract.

As a bonus, when the customer checks their support point statement,
the same names of staff and/or contractors may well come up again and
again for line items of $STUPID_JOB and $STUPID_JOB_CLEANUP. It
doesn't yet fill in P45s, but it might as well do.
