I have a Dell Inspiron 1526 laptop and it was running fine till I just today went to it and noticed I had no video on it. it was on but the only light on was the one showing it was on and no light for the hard drive activity, the other lights were off as well. The dvd drive opened up all right and there is power coming from the usb ports but no video. I even had it connected to my flat screen tv through the svideo cable and still no video. Could the hard drive gone out on me or could it be the memory that has gone bad? I am not very educated with laptops and repairing them, mostly desktops. I did remove the battery and memory modules and hard drive and then reinstall them again hoping to displace static electricity as with desktop's this has worked for me in the past to correct some problems. Any help in this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
.
