Actually OpenOffice is very limiting to me. As I use Word 2000 all of the time and use Change Case -> Title Case all of the time (Sometimes I need change case too). And OpenOffice is so lame it can't even do this. And under Word 2000, I use Normal View all of the time and OpenOffice doesn't even sport this view. I have other problems with OpenOffice too, but these two really bugs me the most.

Have you tried this?

1. Select the desired text (for example, by drag selecting).
2. On the main menu , select Format -> Character (or right-click on the selected text and choose Character).
3. On the Character dialog, choose the Font Effects tab.
4. In the Effects drop-down list, choose Title Case.
5. Click OK.
