Based on the link I provided the CPU is faster (significantly) than my
1.6GHz Pentium M.  ThisCeleronseems to run better than most Celerons.

I've never had a problem with Celerons, as long as you don't expect too much
from it.  I would say, from a D600, it would be a slight move up, but it is
definitely better than a netbook at that price.  I would say go for it.

John, Thanks for the info. That is enough encouragement to get the
system.

The guy who is selling it to me is going to give me 2 weeks to try it
out. He told me it is OK but he wants something with more power since
his wife has dozens of Messenger windows and running youtube and also
sorts of videos. He really was not putting too much attention when he
bought it for his wife to it being a Celeron.
