I got warning when I turned my computer on yesterday morning of a "low battery voltage". I am assuming this is the small battery on the motherboard. What is the proper procedure to replace it? Is it as simple as just switching it out?

Brad

Power down the computer.
Unplug it from the wall.
Wait one minute for the electricity inside the computer to dissipate. (IMPORTANT!)
Open case.
Remove old battery carefully.
Install new battery.
Close case, power up, re-enter CMOS settings including date and time and any other non-default settings used before.

That's it. Pretty easy... Ben Myers
