No, I hadn't thought about that. Wouldn't I have to put XP on the
"recovery" drive? I think it's only 14gb. It sounds like a good idea, just
not sure I'm qualified to attempt such a thing :o

Have you considered keeping Vista for the time being and installing WinXP
as well? It's not that difficult to set up an independent dual boot.
Because the OS are independent, you can delete either OS in the future if
you don't plan to use it again. At least you will have a fully functioning
(Vista) OS while you look for WinXP drivers.
