is compatible with XP. You are lucky not to be using Vista.

The other way to do this is to find out where on your hard disk Quicken
squirrels away its backup files. It is a damned nuisance that Quicken
has
to
stick the backup files (and the data files) somewhere generally
inaccessible to
non-geeks. They seem to have learned too well from Microsoft, who hide
Outlook
and Outlook Express mailboxes way off in never-never land.

Start by going to the root of the C: drive, clicking Documents and

then the folder identified by your login name (something like Dave?).
Next, try
Local Settings and drill on down until you find a Quicken folder. The
other
folder to try is Application Data, with the same approach as for Local
Settings.
The Quicken files are buried there somewhere. I found them for a client

him migrate his data from an old to a new computer, but I cannot
remember
where.
This is the sort of thing I should write down, but then I would have
trouble
finding the paper in the reams of stuff I have here.

computer, but I use CDBurnerXP and ImgBurn for most DVD and CD
burning.

Are you running Vista or XP on the 530S? Sounds like Vista to me.

It also sounds like the Roxio package bundled recently with Dell
boxes
is
deficient. The Roxio bundled with Dell systems running XP had the
necessary
add-ons allow the drag-and-drop and similar actions.

A word of caution about CD-RW disks. Yes, they are convenient in
allowing
drag-and-drop once they are formatted. But they are none too
popular
because
