OT: router firewall

I'm currently using a Linksys (cisco) WRT110 router which has a
firewall as an option in the setup. I'm not using it but instead use
a software firewall on all my pc's and laptops.

I was just wondering if it would be cheaper to just use the router's
firewall instead of always updating the software firewall? My only
question is whether the router's firewall is a 2 way or a 1 way
firewall. I know sometimes tho the router firewall is a problem with
some wireless cards but I'm assuming for now that's not the case.
