Were you not aware that cable is much faster than DSL?? Typical basic cable download speed is 15-20, enhanced 30. There's your main advantage right there. Also less problems with routers etc. DSL is less expensive but that's all.

The highly discounted DSL isn't available in my area so I am paying
more than what most people would for the first year: $30 for 4M / sec
transfer (I think that it's meg, maybe something else) plus $5 because
I don't have a land line.
Still, it's less than what I am paying for Charter cable.
