A special one for house alarms? Please tell more, because I end up working on
DSL setups. Thank you... Ben
My ISP provider told me that I needed one for my house alarm because
my alarm is monitored by phone to a central monitoring unit.
Unfortunately the plug for my house alarm is larger than the phone
plug (why???) so I had to buy a special filter made for house alarms.
If you don't have your house alarm monitored by phone, no need for a
filter.
Ben, if you need the make and model I got, I'll have to get back to
you and will if you ask for it. I'll also see if I still have the
vendor's name too if that helps tho I recall there was at least one or
two others when I shopped for this alarm. I remember when I bought it
on line I was not 100% sure it was the correct one (perhaps 90% at the
time) but after getting it, it worked fine.
