I am ditching Charter Cable and going with DSL. This will finally
force me to go to an e-mail provider (web based) that isn't tied to an
Internet provider.
(hopefully Charter will let me forward my e-mail for a period of time,
but if not I'll deal with it.)
So, the question is: what is the best web-based e-mail.
I am considering gmail (is it still in beta?). Other options would be
Yahoo, AOL (since it's free now), or one that Microsoft offers
(hotmail, or live, or whatever they are calling it these days).
Just tossing this idea out to you. Have you considered the services
offered by schools and universities for their alumni or even through
professional organizations? I know that the former are pretty well
maintained. In some instances, they even offer POP3 mail services.
