What boot manager did you use? I ask that because ntldr

Tim,

I used BING. Each OS had its own boot.ini which only referenced that
partition and each OS was a C: drive when booted. The remaining OS were
hidden.

At that stage I was using the conventional 4 primary partitions per HD. The
remaining OS were in logical volumes.

Now I'm using unlimited primary partitions with BING. It took me ages to
make the decision to unlimit primaries as the idea was scary but now I can
see the advantages. It's so much easier than having OS in logical volumes.
Same result, only easier to manage.

Aside from the cost, can't you do the same thing using VMWare using
virtual drives, each with their own OS ? I would think this is even
easier to manage with no consequences if you make a mistake other than
wiping out a virtual drive.

I can imagine a few reasons not to use virtualization:

1) Fear of the unknown. (Hey, some of us are like that.)
2) The Learning Curve with new software and new concepts.
(Hey, some of us are like that.)
3) The performance hit on the guest OS, which may be significant
for servers and gaming. (Hey, some of us do that.)
