Re: OT Please? "F" =Boot Partition-Not C

Hi!

Please don't ask how I managed to do this, but I was using Acronis.

Uhm...well, it will help to know what you were doing at the time of
the failure. Were you making a disk image or attempting to restore
your computer to an earlier state from one?

I think the first thing I'd do is find anything that might have
survived and back it up to a CD or something.

Then I'd grab my installation discs and try again. However, you might
end up right in the same place, with F being your startup drive for
Windows.

When this happens, it usually means that your computer has a memory
card reader installed in it. Does yours? If so, you will need to open
the computer and disconnect the card reader from whatever it plugs
into (usually the motherboard). Make a note of which way and and where
it plugged in.

Reinstall your software after that, and you should find that the C
drive is where it belongs, and is your startup drive. When it is, plug
the card reader back in.
