AVG 7.5 is still taking daily updates on 6/27, two
days after the announced new final cutoff.
My own plan is to simply stop checking for updates
when there aren't any more. It's never found a
single virus for me, so evidently I have benign
surfing habits in any case.

Good Idea. BTW I just cancelled my Life Insurance. I've had the darn thing
for over 70 years and I haven't died yet(:>)
Seriously... I've been running Avast for several months to replace AVG7.5.
It's free and seems to be pretty lightweight resource wise. You never know
when a virus will sneak up on you...there's always a "first time"
.
