I just got a Dell with 256MB Radeon HD 2600 XT video card. Themouse
cursor, is inaccurate... either I need to move themousea little to
the top-left or little to the bottom-right so that I can click on the
correct file or the correct maximize or close button.

Did someone have that problem before? Is it a video card problem or
is it an OS problem? the system comes with a Blu-Ray drive.

Help appreciated!

Please don't crosspost.

1) What model and number Dell system.

2) What OS - WinXP or Vista

It is Inspiron 530, Vista.

And I see that I should've added, what make/model mouse? Wired or
wireless?

Have you tried the obvious first step of simply swapping the mouse with
another to verify where the problem lives? (with the system or with a
specific mouse)......

I am using a KVM switch ... and it is an old fashion MS mouse,
wired. None of my other computers running Vista has the same problem.
(one dell and 1 HP) I don't think it is the mouse problem because i
see the mouse at location, say (1000,10) on top of the maximize
button. But clicking on it won't click on the maximize button. It
probably will trigger the "close" button. To really trigger the
maximize button i will need to move the mouse over to (990, 0) [to
the top-left a little bit] and click almost outside of the maximize
button to make it work.

I've got the (exact?) same problem; I came to think that it is Vista,
or at least (some) software: on a brand new XPS420, after some
weeks of good use, the problem showed up out of nowhere, so to
speak. The only changes that have been made is that software
may have been installed, and of course there were OS updates.
(I don't have a solution, but knowing about this may somehow be
useful to you?)
