You need 3 or more CDs to restore absolutely to original condition:
1. A Windows XP install CD, Home or Pro as appropriate, Dell labels it
"Windows Reinstallation CD".
2. A CD with drivers for the 2350 motherboard.
3. A CD containing CD burning software and/or DVD viewing software depending on
the type of optical device in the computer.
4. A WordPerfect Office or Microsoft Office CD, depending on whether one or the
other was preinstalled when bought.
The first two are the most critical, and the drivers can be downloaded from the
Dell web site. In a pinch, open source or other free software can replace the
Office and CD burning software and get the job done.... Ben Myers

Hey I have a Dell Dimension 2350 running on Windows XP.
I want to return the computer back to its factory settings because I
want to give it to my mother. The problem is that I do not have any of
the CDs and my warranty is expired. I went to Dell's support but I
needed the original owners name witch I do not have because the computer
was bought over Ebay. Is there a possible way I can return the comp back
to its original factory condition? I tried to get the resource CD by
getting it off the Dell accessories but it didn't work when I put a Cd-R
in the drive. I do not know what to do. Is there a way I can download
these CDs? If I can were can I do that. I hope someone can help me ASAP
