i have looked in bios and dell media experience but could not
find the required solution.
Dell uses a proprietary IPL (Initial Program Loader) in the
laptop's MBR that interprets button pushes and function keys.
If you're willing to lose the ability to boot directly to the diagnostic
utilities and to the System Restore partition, you can replace the
MBR with the standard Microsoft MBR by running "fixmbr" in
the Recovery Console. (Check with Dell tech rep first, to see if
the MBR in the Dell-supplied installation CD/DVD is the standard
Microsoft MBR.)
