have you first considered upgrading the firmware in your router?
also if your network is hidden then i suggest that you disable hiding the ssid.

The question I have is "Can the Dell 1390 card be replaced by the user?" Mostly concerned about reconnecting with internal antenna.
Next question would be how to get a different card, and which one. Ebay?

p.s. I also updated to Vista SP1 with no effect on this problem.
