OT: router minor problem

Excuse me for being brief (need to get some sleep) but I can't seem to
log into my wifi router. I think I know the router's ip address but
is there any way to learn it using a DOS window ? Inotherwords
suppose I didn't have a clue to my router's ip address; is there a way
to learn it's ip address? I took down my firewall briefly but it
didn't help. I looked in the dsl modem software settings for the
router's ip address and I can ping it but can't get windows to log in
to it as administrator (window just times out when trying to browse
that ip address)? I'm using the dsl modem/router with my own router
wired in if that helps. I can log into the modem/router just not my
own router. I know a few weeks ago I could so not sure what happened
since.
Everything works fine right now but don't want to wait till I'm in
trouble to find that I can't get into my router's settings. I need
some sleep now (I'm tired) so I can sleep on this <g>.
