Comment: I never have thought much of various disk imaging programs,
*especially* Ghost. It's my hope that Acronis True Image is better,
because I am looking for such a tool for a project in the near future.
But more seriously...does Acronis True Image have any kind of support
for "virtual disks"? I'm thinking along the lines of a low level
driver that would provide access to disk image files as though they
were real disks.
Windows queries programs before allowing a standby or hibernation to
take place. (It also issues a different query for shut down, restart
and log off requests.) If that request is not approved by all
programs, processes and device drivers, it won't happen. Likewise,
I've also seen drivers and programs that could "stall" a request until
they stopped running.
