If so, it's probably just a 9-cell (extra capacity) battery. On the
Inspiron and Vostro models, the battery protrudes in much the same way, but
in the rear I believe.
Some one correct me if I'm wrong here.
I think it's your battery - nothing more or less. A 6-cell would likely be
flush with the edges of the case, but with obviously shorter life off of AC.
