I will be buying an Apple and I will try it out in the store first.
Good luck with that. Really. I do think you'll enjoy the system, but if I
might sneak in a recommendation--you might want to buy from a well
established authorized Apple reseller. I have one of the first Macbooks and
really enjoy it. I also have a few Mac minis and some earlier stuff.
Here's why--Apple warrants (most) of their computer hardware for a year from
the date of purchase. But the technical support part of that is only good
for 90 days! So if you have a fault covered under warranty past the 90 days,
they will still try to bill you for the support call. I really don't think
that's right--but whatever!
I got tired of this and went to the authorized Apple reseller I'd purchased
from. And--bam!--just like that, my problem was solved under the Apple
warranty.
