Got a problem.

I ran AVG and it says:

virus found HTML/Framer

It's located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\My name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5\Y7XJ94FG\all[1].html

It says it can't heal it.

Any advice on what to do now? I am using XP HOME.

I googled it and I'm not really getting answers on what to try.

BTW, when I go to Windows Explorer, I can't even get to Content.IE5. It
stops at Temporary Internet Files. How do I get there (it is set to show
hidden files)?

UPDATE:

I was able to get there by going into command prompt. (The DIR command did
not show the folders, but I was able to use the old DOS CD commands to
keep
going)

I was then able to delete the file. Does this mean it is truly GONE?

I re-ran AVG for the Temporary Internet Files and it seems to be okay; no
threat found.

I'm going to reboot and at least run AVG again for Temporary Internet
Files.

Any reason why I can't get to the aforementioned area via Windows
Explorer?

I think it is not really gone but in your recycle bin. Now just empty
your recycle bin and I think you're fine. You might consider if you
are paranoid still, to use restore points or a backup if available.

Further, I think since it's a temp file, there should be no problem
deleting it as far as the system is concerned.

I believe it's indeed gone, or at least the file AVG located.

This doesn't address the possibility that it could still exist within his
'system restore' points/files. The only way to know that for sure is to
disable system restore (losing all your restore points) and re-scan the
entire system.

Once clean, he could re-enable system restore and manually create a "clean"
initial restore point as both a safety measure and point of reference.

Sounds good. Normally tho when you delete something it goes into the
recycle bin. I'm not sure right now what happens if AVG deletes a
file but I don't think this applies in this thread anyway. Your point
about the restore points is a good point that he would have to be sure
to restore to a point where he didn't have the viri (perhaps easier
said than done). I didn't mention it because I took it for granted
but not everyone is like me :) so it is worth mentioning it !!
