Re: (OT) Windows Vista, Office 2007 Expelled From British Schools

Right! I installed the latest on my less-often-used laptop with XP, eschewing
the payment of tribute yet one more time to Micro$oft. Works nicely. I have
no problem adopting myself to the tiny differences in the way it works. My Word
..DOC files go back and forth seamlessly... Ben Myers

Hi,

Well I have skipped Vista, but got Office 2k7 as people started to
send me the new style files. I tried it and went back to Office 2k3,
I was so disgusted with the new menu/toolbar layout. They really got
it right imho with XP, Windows Server 2003, and Office 2003.

I used Open Office yesterday on a Linux system, it was a real joy to
use.

Andrew.

OO is a real joy on Windows XP or Vista. It runs on both with no problems.
