BTW, what's the problem with asking your local store to carry a product
or brand you like?

nothing at all.

just that if they refuse to carry the product, you take your
business elsewhere.

if MS puts out crap, i don't buy it.

corporate IT depts buy into MS products for reasons of cost &
efficiency. Windows is ("relatively" speaking), easier to
administer than a Unix based enterprise wide system running,
say Sun based products.

the corporate IT depts have one thing the average consumer
lacks - leverage. piss off your Fortune 100 buyers, and watch
your profits evaporate - and possibly future revenue streams
as they consider switching computing platforms.

the UK school blurb was a good example.
