Under the Display Adapter on the Device Manager, it says Intel 82845
(and then a bunch of letters) Graphics
I wasn't able to open the monitor driver I downloaded at Dell for my
model 773c, or something like that.
The drivers I wasn't able to install:
WDM3512_Cadenza (Which says something about SoundMAX once unzipped)
Promise_RAID_Driver_21.30 (which says something about FASTTRAK once
unzipped)
What shall I do?

The lack of a USB controller is puzzling. That should have been handled by the
Intel chipset drivers.
What is the graphics controller as shown in the Device Manager? If anything
other than Intel Extreme Graphics (or similar), that is the problem.
Which files were problematic? Some of them are a little tricky to install.

The trio of missing Ethernet Controller, PCI device (modem?) and USB controller
is symptomatic of missing a motherboard chipset driver. Same with the
ghosting. Like I said, go to the Intel web site, download the chipset drivers,
Ethernet drivers for any old D845 series motherboard, and install them. Intel
supports Windows 2000 and even Windows 98 (Hooray!) on its D845 motherboards.
Remember: Intel, Intel, Intel. If a Dell motherboard has an Intel CPU, Dell
uses motherboards essentially designed by Intel with Intel CPUs and Intel
chipsets. I am providing you with good intel... Ben Myers
Ok, I downloaded and ran all the drivers that I could from Intel for
that series. I have noticed several improvements (Ethernet driver and
PCI now installed and working.. also, I was having some audio issues
that have disappeared). There were a couple of drivers that I couldn't
run for whatever reason (couldn't open the file, couldnt' get to
them). Anyway, I'm still showing the USB controller having no drivers,
and the ghosting monitor problem. I found the drivers for my
particular Dell monitor, so I'm hoping that will get rid of the
ghosting. Is that right? What about USB controller? What am I lacking?- Hide quoted text -
